iFilm English TV to broadcast ‘The Sound of Rain’

iFilm English TV Channel has been scheduled to start airing Iranian series ‘The Sound of Rain’ on Saturday.

Airing of the series, produced by Seyyed-Mohammad Hashemi-Asl and directed by Hossein Soheilizadeh, is to be started on September 21, 2024.

The series narrates the story of, Taha, a successful businessman and a widower living with his five year old daughter.

On a business trip to Turkey, he gets framed for smuggling drugs and sentenced to life in prison, so he entrusts everything he’s got, including his daughter, to his nephew.

After twenty years, Taha gets released and comes back home, but things aren’t exactly as he’d left them, and he soon realizes he may have put his trust in the wrong people.

On the cast list of the series are Azadeh Zarei, Sorayya Qasemi, Mehran Ahmadi, Siavash Kheirabi, Sam Derakhshani, Sepideh Khodaverdi, Elham Charkhandeh, and Hamid-Reza Pegah.

‘The Sound of Rain’, produced in 2013, replaces ‘Shams-ol-Emareh’ to be broadcast at 20:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00. ‘The Sound of Rain’ is comprised of 40 segments.
